Angie Madden, CHC, Director of eHealth Services

Ms. Madden is Director of eHealth Services for the Tennessee Medical Association. The eHealth Services division assists members delving into the world of eHealth, answering questions and providing hands-on assistance in working with eHealth technology, health information exchanges and eHealth requirements.  Madden has an extensive background in medical practice administration and electronic health consulting and implementation.  Prior to working for the Tennessee Medical Association, Madden worked as an administrator with a Nashville neurology practice; as an EHR consultant and implementation specialist for two practice management firms and for the State of Tennessee Office of health Initiatives directing its prescribing program and then served as interim director of health.

Madden spent 12 years working with a Nashville neurology practice; as administrator she oversaw the implementation of a computerized practice management system. Taking her "lessons learned," she worked for the next nine years as an EHR consultant and implementation specialist for two practice management firms. In 2009 she joined the State of Tennessee Office of eHealth Initiatives to direct its ePrescribing program and then served as interim director of eHealth.  She joined the TMA team in 2011.
